Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer (Stive Ballmer) at a press conference held on the evening of July 16 in San Francisco (23:00 MSK), introduced a new version of the Microsoft Office suite of applications 15.

The main feature of the new generation of programs will be integrated with the "cloud" service Microsoft SkyDrive. All documents created by the user, as well as personal settings will be stored in the "cloud" automatically, which will provide access to them from any device connected to the Internet.

In addition, the new Office provides simplified operation on touch and tablet computers, as well as tight integration with social services. In particular, the Office will be embedded Internet phone service Skype, and will feature People Card, lets you integrate your contacts from Facebook and LinkedIn in office applications.

Design of the new Microsoft Office 15 is designed to match the design of Windows 8, with sales expected to begin in October 2012. In addition to the new operating system, the next version of Office will also be compatible with Windows 7.
